Luís Vedor is Mozambican Senior Healthcare Infrastructure Specialist with over 20 years of experience in planning, design, construction, commissioning and operationalization of healthcare facilities. He holds a Master’s Degree in Planning and Management of Healthcare Infrastructures and has worked across Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
His expertise focuses on resilient and sustainable healthcare infrastructure, hospital systems and commissioning processes.
He notably contributed to the implementation and commissioning coordination of major hospital projects in Trinidad and Tobago and He has contributed to the implementation of resilient healthcare infrastructure programmes in Mozambique through UN-Habitat’s Safe Hospitals Programme, supporting climate adaptation and emergency response systems, and previously coordinated commissioning activities for four major hospital projects in Trinidad and Tobago, including support during a hospital evacuation following an earthquake event.
